Matt Burns is the current owner of Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Reno & Lake Tahoe (OLP). OLP is the nation's largest full-service, low voltage outdoor lighting company in the US. It is a franchise and Matt purchased the entire Reno/Tahoe/Truckee area. Matt was born and raised in Reno and graduated from UNR with a degree in journalism (emphasis in advertising and PR) and minor in marketing. He has over 15 years of marketing and strategy experience and 5 years of consulting experience. He has worked in several different industries adding value to leadership and learning invaluable experience that has contributed to his success.
I spent 15 years in the medical field working in a doctors office and I really loved that job, but then I met Ben and we decided we wanted to start our own business because he was so good at his job and he has a really great reputation in Truckee and Tahoe so we wanted the freedom of our own business and to be at the front of innovative electrical contracting for custom homes.
I love learning about home automation and lighting design. I also love interacting with our clients and making sure they are happy with our services and our products.
My hobbies include hiking, riding my Harley and soon I will be learning how to play golf. I love being outside, especially in the Tahoe area.
